The Daily Beast (of all places) discovered that Omar Rivero’s new social media platform, which is branded as a place that “filters out sexism and bigotry,” is in fact is a cesspool of hatred and full of bigoted and sexist posts 😂.

▪️Basically, the site has no coherent speech standards and has little staff so there’s just Omar himself to police content, which he can’t keep up with. So it’s not exactly shocking that the founder of Occupy Democrats attracts a bunch of hateful users on the new platform.

🔹”The Daily Beast asked Rivero about Tribel’s content moderation policies, given its “hate-free” brand—and noted finding posts calling individuals, especially including Republicans politicians, pussy, c--t, bitch and more. He responded, “Insulting politicians or public figures is not currently a violation of our terms of service.””
🔹”In a follow-up, The Daily Beast asked Rivero how Tribel defines hateful content, given its description of being a “free of hate” platform, and no definition of hateful content being listed in its terms of service. He responded, “Bullying, bigotry, harassment, homophobia, racism, ageism, making fun of people with disabilities, etc.””
🔹”The Daily Beast used an example of a real post from September stating “Kari Lake is a stupid fucking c--t” to clarify whether that language would qualify as non-permissible content on a hate-free site. In his response, Rivero said that sort of posting is allowed.”
🔹”Rivero first launched Liker, a social media platform with many of the same promises and features of Tribel. Liker shut down in 2021 due to issues with outdated tech that Rivero said would be difficult to scale.”

🔹“The report feature works, but I just don’t have the staff right now to check all of the reports,” Rivero wrote back to the user. “The network is growing quickly, and I am basically a one-man show.”
Just incredible. After posting a meme blaming Charlie Kirk for his own murder, they post another a few hours later applauding Democrats for their civility.
Also, if you look at the Occupy Democrats timeline, their posts “denouncing political violence” were variations on “no one should be shot…BUT here’s a quote from Kirk showing he’s a terrible person.” Or sometimes they’d leave the first part out altogether and just attack him. There are no posts denouncing violence without qualifiers trying to gin up their base.
It’s really incredible they’re trying this approach after 4 years of posting “Ridin’ with Biden” memes.
It’s funny to see the left use the same conspiratorial rhetoric as the right did a year ago regarding the jobs numbers being downwardly revised. So many on the right, who knew nothing of how the jobs numbers are calculated or why they revise them, were convinced the downward revisions were a conspiracy to help Biden win.
If people want to have a debate about the birth death model or the survey methods, ok, but that’s not what’s happening here. Most people are under the delusion that the BLS report is the govt reporting every job created and lost, and are thus easily swayed it’s rigged when it suits their political ends.
