▪️Last week saw the press hype these “record ocean temperatures” without doing any basic research. Turns out this was taken from a gauge in Manatee Bay, which is only 5 ft deep in a closed-off cove with dark seagrass on the bottom. Calling it an “ocean temp” is beyond misleading.
▪️And it wasn’t a record. The record for this gauge is actually 102 degrees, taken back in Aug 2017. Shortly after the hyped 101 degree reading, the water temp plummeted to the mid 80s after it rained. It’s a volatile shallow lagoon, not “ocean temperature.”

▪️There is a clear agenda this summer by the press to hype any abnormally warm weather patterns as imminent doom (while ignoring any abnormally cold patterns). Multiple outlets reported this because it fit an agenda. If the opposite pattern happened it would be ignored or researched to see if it could be debunked.
It’s just so wild to see these movements see saw, it feels like just yesterday that conservatives were boycotting Disney and the left was gloating.
Just incredible. After posting a meme blaming Charlie Kirk for his own murder, they post another a few hours later applauding Democrats for their civility.
Also, if you look at the Occupy Democrats timeline, their posts “denouncing political violence” were variations on “no one should be shot…BUT here’s a quote from Kirk showing he’s a terrible person.” Or sometimes they’d leave the first part out altogether and just attack him. There are no posts denouncing violence without qualifiers trying to gin up their base.
