▪️This comes from a viral TikTok post last Dec. A guy ordered what appears to be the most expensive meal possible from McDonald’s then complained about the price.
▪️Looking at the receipt, he ordered a double smoky BLT quarter pounder with cheese and large fries/drink. The smoky QP was a limited time special menu item, so I couldn’t exactly recreate it. But using the app I tried as close as I could come (pictures posted in comments):
▪️I put in bacon QP/cheese, added an extra patty, and added lettuce, tomato & mayo. With large fries/drink that comes to $13.54, so ~$14-15 depending on sale taxes.
▪️Keep in mind this is basically the most expensive burger and fries meal you can create from McDonald’s and clocks in at >1500 calories, 3/4s of your daily calories (the app says 1400 calories, but it gets confused when you add a bunch of options).
▪️However, an ordinary double QP/cheese large meal is $10.89 (w/1510 calories) and a more normal “burger and fries” meal like the headline suggests, a QP/cheese with medium fries/drink is $8.19, and still clocks in at 1050 calories. Which is about 1/2 the price the meme claims.
It’s just so wild to see these movements see saw, it feels like just yesterday that conservatives were boycotting Disney and the left was gloating.
Just incredible. After posting a meme blaming Charlie Kirk for his own murder, they post another a few hours later applauding Democrats for their civility.
Also, if you look at the Occupy Democrats timeline, their posts “denouncing political violence” were variations on “no one should be shot…BUT here’s a quote from Kirk showing he’s a terrible person.” Or sometimes they’d leave the first part out altogether and just attack him. There are no posts denouncing violence without qualifiers trying to gin up their base.
