▪️I’ve seen them post this meme several times since Rush Limbaugh’s death, which means ironically he’s still living rent free in their heads. But it’s not even true no one talks about him, just search his name in X and you’ll find countless posts, even recently.
▪️Last week was his birthday, there were tons of people posting happy birthday, how they missed him, his voice, his show, contributions, etc. Of course, there are also still posts from bitter leftists cheering his death years later. Clearly, he left a mark.
▪️The reality is that you don’t hear about almost anyone years after they die. When was the last time you heard someone talk about the legacy of George Bush Sr.? Or Alan Colmes (the long-time liberal co-host with Hannity). Most young people couldn’t tell you anything about Johnny Carson.
▪️The most famous actors and sports stars of the 1930s-50s are virtually unknown to the youth today. Only a handful of artists, politicians and philosophers are remembered more than a decade after their deaths. It’s not a knock on them, just how it is, live accordingly.
Just incredible. After posting a meme blaming Charlie Kirk for his own murder, they post another a few hours later applauding Democrats for their civility.
Also, if you look at the Occupy Democrats timeline, their posts “denouncing political violence” were variations on “no one should be shot…BUT here’s a quote from Kirk showing he’s a terrible person.” Or sometimes they’d leave the first part out altogether and just attack him. There are no posts denouncing violence without qualifiers trying to gin up their base.
