▪️The ridiculous “banned book” hysteria appears to still have legs, and its adherents still fail to realize that their ability to easily obtain supposed banned books means they’re not banned.
▪️In this case, the “banned book” was the graphic adaptation of the Handmaid’s Tale. Note, the original Handmaid’s Tale is still available at the school library, but the school decided to remove the graphic adaptation because the library serves grades 6-12 and they didn’t have a method of limiting books to certain grade levels.

▪️If you ever find someone championing the book ban hysteria, ask them if they think school computers should be allowed to access all websites. The answer is, of course, no, schools should try to limit content not appropriate for kids. It’s not “banning websites,” it’s not a freedom of speech issue, and the exact same principle applies to school libraries.
It’s just so wild to see these movements see saw, it feels like just yesterday that conservatives were boycotting Disney and the left was gloating.
Just incredible. After posting a meme blaming Charlie Kirk for his own murder, they post another a few hours later applauding Democrats for their civility.
Also, if you look at the Occupy Democrats timeline, their posts “denouncing political violence” were variations on “no one should be shot…BUT here’s a quote from Kirk showing he’s a terrible person.” Or sometimes they’d leave the first part out altogether and just attack him. There are no posts denouncing violence without qualifiers trying to gin up their base.
